It's supposed to be a 5-star hotel, but it's a poor 3 at best. It's a fringe location, no bar or restaurant on a Sunday evening, the windows that open are doors onto a balcony/fire escape accessible to anyone. Water in the room is only one non-mineral bottle, then 5 EUR a bottle. The rooms are tired and warm, quite small and either face a noisy roundabout, tram line or smelly kitchen generator. The lifts take forever...

Let's just say that I was initially excited to stay at what I believed to be a Grand Hotel. ( I did Actually find a great hotel that I'll refer to at the end). So back to this review... Room at tram track

I have stayed at this hotel several times and have been satisfied (thats why I came back).
To my shock this time they gave me a room right at the tram track. See photo. I would upload a video also but it doesnt seem to be possible.
Trams run frequently, are very noisy and shake the room.
And they wouldnt give me another room. The cleaning staff had left, was the reason. So, no sleep in this room.

The hotel is nice with large rooms. Nicely laid out and perhaps one day it may achieve the standard it is aiming for.
IF you have breakfast get ready for the hot food being cold and the cold food being tepid. Scrambled eggs, mushrooms etc are in a pan that should be hot or at least warm. The food only has its own heat to stay warm. They run a VERY lean staff so only one person handling breakfast.

Wonderful stay next to Metro station. Had a wonderful stay at Eurostars Montgomery. First of all was fortunate to get reservations for the penthouse which offers a spectacular view from 8th floor roof top. At the hotel, check in was smooth extremely friendly staff.
