Fine for the price but neighbourhood not quite nice

I was 2 days in the hotel, with a promotion for 90 euros that included breakfast. The hotel is clean, has elevator, and the brekfast was quite fine. It was 15min away walking from the main center. The receptionist was very kind helping me with a cable for my phone. The neighbourhood in the night is quite dark and there were no supermarkets in the area. This is the only thing that I didn't like....

Very disappointed with this hotel. This was booked by my daughter as a birthday treat for me.
The photos of a classic room on the website are very misleading.
We had room 16. It is ground floor at street level. It was basic and needs updating. The bathroom was not good, very dim lighting, toilet roll holder broken, magnifying mirror broken, toilet seat broken and thin towels. We complained at reception immediately a...

The Augustin is a really nice looking hotel and is centrally located. It was very easy to stay there as the rooms were really light and spacious and the beds were huge. I think these were the biggest hotel rooms we've ever had! The downsides were that it's in what we would consider a bit of a rundown street. Great Hotel.
They upgraded us to a deluxe room (105).Huge room. Bed was comfy, room spotless. Hotel bar and breakfast area were excellent. Would definitely recommend
Only downside is the area between the station and the hotel. Lots of work going on and a lot of rough sleepers....

We recently stayed here (August) in room 107 and loved it, the location was really great, not too far to walk into city centre.
Public transport was close enough too.
Room was spacious and had everything we needed.
There is building work outside the hotel currently but it didnt affect our stay at all.
