The receptionist wasnt very welcoming- she didnt create a great impression but the hotel was really clean with a good breakfast. The mattress could have been better - it wasnt very comfortable. The male receptionist on the second day was much better. The location is great, right by the station and just a ten minute walk to the more picturesque parts of the city....

Exceeded expectations

This hotel absolutely exceeded expectations. Everything was new and very clean.
The best part was the service.
I had a bad night elsewhere in Brussels with no aircon so I turned up early in the morning and they still managed to get me a super early check in with no extra charge.
Would definitely come back and stay again....

Hotel lobby and breakfast room are sudficiently large, modern and nicely decorated. Breakfast is good. Reception staff is polite and friendly.
My room was very small and the window could not be opened, as it was just above the roof in the courtyard, so it was also dark. All new and fresh, mostly functional.
The area is nice, though construction nearby is not helping to enjoy it.

Hotel interior is nice but our room was small for 3 people. Not enough room for luggage area The hotel itself needs soundproof walls as its a little loud during the early morning. The pillows were uncomfortable. Had a sore neck.
Staff were friendly. Close to public transport....

Decent Hotel, but a few issues

We stayed at the Urban Yard Hotel for 3 nights in early May.
Firstly, the positives. Breakfast was fantastic - varied and fresh. The room was well appointed; decent sized and comfy bed; and a great en-suite. We were close to metro links, with both Gare du Midi and Gare du Nord easily accessible.
