Rude and Unprofessional Front Desk Experience

This incident happened on Monday, May 18, 2026 during my stay at the St. Clair Hotel Chicago Magnificent Mile. When we went to the front desk to ask for a supervisor about the elevator being out of order, the front desk attendant, Alicia, was extremely rude and unprofessional. Only one elevator was working, and it could only hold five people. Our room was on the 16th floor, so this was a serious concern.

This hotel is a total gem - affordable without skimping or cutting corners on the quality, customer service, cleanliness, comfortable room/bed, spa-like shower, vending machines/laundry /ice machine/gym (all the main amenities you could want) security/safety, vibes, etc. The location is perfect for those who want to be able to walk to various areas of the city since it is quite central. Stay away from here during Winter.

Never stay here during the winter months. The heat in the hotel never got higher than 64 degrees during the cold and was told that the building was old and it wasn't going to get any hotter. Offered an extra blanket instead.......

False advertisement. Terrible service.

Horrible service at front desk and room service.
Noisy. Can hear sirens all night long.
Didnt have coffee in the room as they advertise. They said they ran out on two different rooms. Hotel unkept.

Hotel is very well located, off of Michigan Ave and walking distance from the Chicago River and the Riverwalk. In general, the hotel needs a make over as soon as possible. Sad looking once inside.
