Great hotel once you step inside.

We loved this little boutique hotel. Spacious, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Its quite busy just outside the front door but a great central location to walk Florence. We even had a sitting room with couches in our room. Very quiet with an interior room....

Beautiful hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. The breakfast buffet was delicious with a large variety for everyone to choose from. I highly recommend this hotel....

I'll start by saying that it doesn't deserve 4 stars at all, the rooms have very old furniture. I stayed in the hotel for one night and there was no hot water, I took a cold shower. I called the reception to check the problem but I didn't get an answer. When I went down to talk to the reception, although the person at the reception was there, he simply ignored the phone that rang continuously and then started saying ...

The hotel was very well located. The food in the area was very good. Breakfast was plentiful. But the best part was the relationship established with managers Diego and Massimo. They were extremely friendly and helpful, as this was our first time in Florence (Firenza)....

Tarpaulin Towers

We drove straight past the Hotel upon arrival since its entire facade was covered in dust sheets and was hidden from view. We called the Hotel Tarpaulin Towers. The building work did not disturb us.
Not a lot of soundproofing from neighbouring rooms.
Very comfortable bed; the sheets seemed to be thin and not quite fit the bed.
The television offered a couple of English speaking channels.
