I booked this hotel based on the high reviews from multiple websites, including Trip Advisor. I wish I had dug deeper into the lower reviews, as these are exactly what I experience. You cannot enter the hotel at night unless someone from the hotel lets you in. This is not particularly safe as a woman when waiting for someone to let you in. The rooms do not really lock. Great hotel just outside the historic district and close to the mercato centrale. Situated right on tree lined piazza Independencia, Staff were Super friendly and accommodating. Beautiful living room/lobby, modern art, garden area, and terrific bar for relaxing after a day in Florence. Highly recommend!...

We got off to a bad start. When checking in, the hotel had some other guests credit card tied to my account. When running my Amex, it kept getting denied, which was embarassing and humiliating. Only after I showed them a screen shot of my charge did they admit wrong doing and correct the problem. Very arrogant and disrespectful.

A true gem in the centre of Florence. Beautiful hotel with extremely fabulous staff. Staff went above and beyond for us during our week with them, even sorting a taxi for us during a train and taxi strike to enable us to get to the airport for our return journey. We would highly recommend this hotel....

Hotel very close to train station and reasonably close to main attractions.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nice to receive a free welcome drink voucher upon arrival.
Breakfast is limited compared to similar hotels we've stayed in and could be improved upon.
The restaurant at back of hotel is very noisy up until 11.30pm when it closes....
