Would give it zero if I could. It is not charming and traditional. It is old and desparately in need of up dating. Reception staff are rude. Rooms are rubbish.Bed is uncomfortable.No tea/ coffee making facilities. Water costs 3 a bottle. Shower screen leaked. Avoid at all costs...

That is where the good points stop. The single room was a cupboard, our double room wasn't much better and only had 1 socket that could be used. after a bit of hassle we eventually got an extension to allow us to charge our phones, watches and my partners hair straighteners. No iron in the room and not available from the hotel so no way of pressing your clothes.

We stayed at this hotel for the second time. The first time was an excellent experience--loved everything about it. We just stayed here again July 2024, but there were a few things different.

My family ( 2 adults and 2 boys 17 and 10) stayed in a family suite. Two floors with lots of space for everyone. We just stayed at Palazzo Stern in Venice so this seemed awesome. The aircondition worked. Some staff better than others with friendliness. The best thing about this place is the location and the next best thing is the amazing included breakfast. Very pleasant stay. Efficient check in process, luggage storage available (we dropped bags and went to watch the Tour de France riders). Room was spacious, good temperature as it was very hot the day we visited. Decor is rather charming I thought.. its not modern but the hotel is sparkling clean and everything looks to be where it should. Particularly enjoyed the drinks in the afternoon and snacks in the bar.
