Im a BonVoy Gold member. I usually stay at the Cosmopolitan once or twice a year. I have been staying at this hotel whenever I come to Las Vegas far at least the past 8 years. But I can tell you at the time I started staying here it was a Great HOTEL. But the standards of the rooms keep getting worse. I just checked in on January 1st. Great location, but wear and tear

This is my second time staying at The Cosmo. The location cannot be beat and there are great amenities on property (many restaurants, Starbucks). The only issues I had were that it has so major wear and tear. The Chelsea pool was damaged, as were the lounge chairs. Our room had stains on the carpet and tears on the upholstery of the bed frames....

Check in process ruined the experience

Worst check in experience. Arrived with 2 children at 4pm. Waiting in line for ages. Then told room not ready and we had to wait. The only place to sit near reception is a bar and children are not allowed!
By 6pm room still not ready and I had to make a fuss to get it ready. Ruined the whole experience, especially with 2 children after a long trip.
The whole place smelled of smoke including our balcony.

TLDR: The hotel rooms appear to be from original construction (2010) and needs significant upgrades. This was a classic case of over promising and underdelivering on the level of quality for the price point. Location is great but at the expense of lacking quality / experience.
