What a great hotel! It is a real hidden gem you would never expect what lies behind the large wooden door right beside the castle.
The most lovely boutique hotel with friendly staff and small personal touchs such as fresh buffet breakfast, fresh pastries and hot drinks all afternoon, a glass of sparkling wine to start your evening off.

Stunning hotel in the grounds of Castelo Sao George retaining its historic charm. The rooms were very comfortable and we had daily visits from the peacocks on our balcony.
The breakfast was a real highlight with a great variety and there were also freshly baked cakes in the afternoons with tea and coffee, as well as sparkling wine in the evenings.

The location of this hotel is right under the castle, which gives the stay a unique feeling. The courtyard of the hotel is always full of peacocks. You will be welcomed by a very helpful reception. Stayed for a week of winter sun. Magical location, an oasis of calm on the top of the hill. Our room 10 had views out over the castle and its gardens. The peacocks were beautiful and highly entertaining.
