We really enjoyed our stay at Catalonia Atocha. The rooms were wonderful and very clean, and our room overlooked the street with a small balcony. The location is near several restaurants and very walkable to the major train station. We would recommend to any professional or leisure traveler....

We stayed five nights at the hotel, which is in an old building but fully modernised in recent years. Its location is excellent within easy walking distance of the three major art galleries in Madrid, the Parque del Retiro, the railway station (for bus connection to the airport), two minutes from a metro station, and on bus routes. This hotel is nicely located and is incredibly clean and well thought out. We had a room with a view of Calle de Atocha and it was perfect. Lovely window out onto the street so you can see whats happening in the city. Great for people watching! Lovely, clean room. The rooftop bar and pool area were lovely too. We were looking for a hotel close to the Atocha train station and we were so happy we chose this hotel. We arrived mid morning and the staff was most gracious. We were able to store our luggage until our room was ready. The room was very comfortable, clean and extremely quiet. Great location, very clean, comfortable bed and friendly and helpful reception staff. We did not eat in the hotel but everything else was perfect....
