Absolutely terrific hotel. The attention to detail was great. When you check in you will find in the downstairs lounge/ bar (from 4-7pm) sandwiches and pastries, nuts, chilled water, help yourself to coffee included in your tariff,

Quiet location though very central with walkable access to the main sites of Madrid. Discrete entrance but palatial inside - after all a converted palace. Staff consistently friendly and helpful. Large spread of choices at a buffet breakfast. Lovely 'touches' of afternoon tea and evening bed turndown with a chocolate. Very comfortable room with sumptuous bed and spacious shower as well as a kettle!

We chose Las Cortes simply because we love the location, but the hotel exceeded all of our expectations. From the very beginning they were sweet and efficient about guaranteeing two beds for me and my daughter. It's a beautiful building and our room was huge...the beds were very comfortable and the shower was the best I've ever had in Europe. Everything was superlative: great location, helpful and friendly staff, lovely and comfortable rooms (spotless cleaning, soft towels, sumptuous bed) and excellent and plentiful breakfast. Easy to find a variety of excellent restaurants nearby and the great museums (The Prado, etc., as well as the GalerÃa de las Colecciones Reales are easy walks).
