The most famous street of the capital city

This famous street was constructed at the beginning of the 20th century, stretching 1.3 kilometers long and six lanes wide. The imposing buildings house theaters, cafés, luxury boutiques, and shops. It was very nice to walk here, a lively, popular place with many beautiful shop windows. It reminds me of the atmosphere of the elegant boulevards of Paris.

Madrid version of Oxford street in London, so many stunning buildings and shops. Never seen rooftops so beautiful and ornate, Mixture of stores , hotels and grand places. This is a very busy street, so not relaxing to walk along. Nicely lit up at night, with some attractive buildings. But not a great place for a stroll....

Live the Spanish life in a 1920's style Hotel Atlantico on Grand Via

Hotel Atlantico is a unique 1920's style hotel on one of the main streets of Madrid Grand Via.
It has a good breakfast buffet service on the first floor-recommended
Then on the 9th Floor there is a roof top bar.
The weather being dry and reasonably warm meant we could sit out there, enjoy a drinkg and look out at the sunset.
On an other evening it was a festival to commemorate Spanish life...
