We have stayed here before so we knew the location is excellent and our red-level room would be spacious and comfortable - but I think it is really the customer service which makes the hotel exceptional. We just spent 4 nights in Madrid at this wonderful hotel. Highly recommend it. From the moment we walked in, we were made to feel SO welcome. I do not recommend this hotel. I was sold hard on the red level upgrade only to be disappointed the first day at the COCKROACH in the red level room. Then, a dead fly in my salad at the hotel's restaurant. A maid entered my room without even knocking when my guest was in the shower.
