For couples who'd like a base point to go out to day trips outside and get back at night, this hotel would serve nicely. Not much more at all.
The hotel is marked 4 stars in Madrid, which I don't understand how and by what criteria.

The hotel needs a thorough refurbishment. Definitely not 4 stars. Breakfast is adequate, but better display practises are required. Bedroom small as bed too close to walldrobe. Restroom washbasin is too high.

Could be some faulty electrical issues

It has an amazing view and location. However, there were black stains above the hallway lights indicating what appears to be small electrical fires. I would be very hesitant to stay until this is fixed. The views were amazing though but the rooms were worn....

Excellent location, close to many cultural sites, restaurants, bakery, souvenir shops, grocery, and money exchange. Plaza Mayor and El Mercado de San Miguel are just across the street. Puerta del Sol, Almudena Cathedral, El Vecino Curioso, San Gines, Royal Palace, Royal Theater, Plaza Espana, Temple of Debod and Galeria Canalejas are within short distance. A Nice Stay

Decent service and room conditions. Only drawback being the communication service with the reception staff. Another setback was the breakfast area, too time packed. We were really rushing to finish on time. Wouldn't recommend if you're travelling in a group but for a quick night's stay with family, this is the place to be....
