Tired hotel in need of a refresh

We were drawn by the historical nature of this hotel but unfortunately the rooms were not historic - just in need of an update. Hotel was tired rather than quaint....

Petite Palace Posada del Peine has the perfect location. Just steps away from Plaza Mayor and Puerta del Sol, at the very center of Madrid. Few minutes from Parroquia Santa Cruz for church goers or simply to admire the art. Very welcoming and helpful staff at the front desk (big thanks to Jon and Marta!) Our room had a balcony and we opened the door to watch the activity and let some fresh air in. The breakfast venu...

Perfect location, helpful and kind staff, quiet area, well equipped rooms. Good breakfast, you wont miss everything. By the way the oldest hotel in the town...
