The location of the hotel is excellent and it is within a 15 min walk from all major tourist attractions. The hotel staff are helpful and the breakfast was good.
On the negative side, there is a refurbishment ongoing so all the windows are blocked (they informed us beforehand of this) - so no views. Also the rooms are really odd shaped with many corners. The bathroom area is open with no privacy, so if you are with c...

WARNING!! False advertising! Hotel under major renovation!

I stayed there last week of April. This hotel is undergoing major renovations!!!!!!!!!!!! You cant see outside your room because the entire building is enveloped in scaffolding and plastic rap. Feels like your living in a cocoon. Despite numerous complaints, the hotel, to this day, is hiding the fact they are in major construction mode. Shame on the owners of this hotel and Expedia....

We stayed at Room Mate Alicia for 5 nights and were extremely disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding the major renovation work taking place during our stay.

Fabulous hotel on the corner of the Plaza de Santa Ana. We had a basic room on 5th floor but it was comfortable with plenty of storage space and massive shower with great pressure . No view from the windows however as the hotel is getting a face lift outside on the facade no point in having a balcony as covered in scaffolding. This didnt put us off although its not very attractive.
