Great stay - but please lighten up your corridors!

Requested a twin room - got two singles but one quilt - not ideal for two middle aged ladies who aren't a couple - easily rectified but come on!
Requested a late check out - denied as were full - but a quick check on their website there was availability - not good
Corridors - red walls, red carpets - looked like a brothel!
Pool area great - drinks not cheap but to be expected in such a premium location

Disappointed about the LGBT bit!!!

The hotel is very biased to the Gay community but don't really make you aware of this, the reception is full of homo erotic paintings of men, half dressed (working) and showering!! It is also in the middle of the Gay aware of Madrid.
As a heterosexual man, i felt a bit uncomfortable with the pictures in reception.
I feel that the hotel should be a bit clearer on the fact regarding the whole LGBT bit.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights. The location is perfect. Only a few steps away from Grand Via and 10 minute walk to the main area with all the shops, bars and restaurants. But I recommend exploring the streets surrounding the hotel too as there are lots of hidden gems to discover (bars and restaurants).

Our 7th time visiting Madrid and our 5th time staying in the Oscar. As usual, everything was perfect from arriving to leaving. The very warm welcome on arrival from the team is fantastic. The room as usual was great and was kept immaculately clean throughout our stay (thanks for the cleaning team). This was my second time staying here. The front desk was super friendly and helpful. The corner room on the second floor was spacious and had great views of the square. The location allowed us to walk to so many attractions and restaurants. There was even a refrigerator and coffee in the room for the win!...
