We recently completed a 5-day stay at the Marseilles, and would have stayed for 5 years if possible. This place is a gem -- small by comparison to places like the Ritz Carlton, but entirely comparable with amenities and customer service. I came to Miami Beach for a conference. The hotel is great. I was looking forward to going on the beach and getting in the ocean. The seaweed is coming ashore so bad at our location that you cannot enjoy the ocean. It smells rough and you cannot enjoy sitting on the beach. The daily happy hour has been a comfort. Lol!...

There may be a few minor downsides like soundproofing and the fact that its a somewhat older hotel, but those are more than made up for by the incredibly friendly staff. Youre welcomed warmly and feel at home the entire time. An absolute gem if you ask me....

Upon our arrival we were give room that looked like a rented accommodation and the view was of a construction site, next door are building a new hotel. It was a disappointing start and did not feel like a 4 *beach front hotel as described.
We requested to move and had a room at the front which seemed more suffice but, we had requested prior for a beach view room.
