We stayed at Hotel Gates in February and had a really great experience overall. The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location, but what truly made the stay special was the staff.

The hotel felt a bit dated. My room AC wasn't working, which I didnt really notice the first night until I woke up in the middle of the night sweating with the AC pegged on the same temperature as when I arrived, not what I set it at. I also don't appreciate the resort fee. That is just a hidden charge so that they don't have to show the real room rate online - total scam....

I would discourage anyone from staying at this hotel. Their front office is practically non-existent. After arriving to the hotel, youll be charged additional fees that are not outlined on the listings. Additionally, I was charged $555 for an incidental which I expected to have refunded after check out. After over 7 business days, I noted that the incidental was never refunded. My wife and I stayed here for a night before we departed on a cruise, as well as a night after our cruise ship returned. Carlos (CE) was so helpful during our stay, especially accommodating us and our luggage even tho we arrived before check in and didnt have to be to the airport till later after check out.
