Well located hotel. Some street noise (6th floor) but didn't cause me undue problems. Spacious, comfortable and well-equipped room, great bathroom.
Reception were pleasant and helpful. I feel sad that they had to tolerate such dreadful and unnecessary muzak....

Renaissance Montreal Downtown - Great Stay!

Recently stayed a couple of nights at the Renaissance Montreal Downtown Hotel with my GF. Our stay was excellent. This hotel is about a 25 minute Uber ride from the airport and is perfectly located in downtown Montreal. Front desk staff was friendly and check-in was quick.
The hotel is rather small but looks modern. The room's decor is nice. Unfortunately, the hotel lacks a swimming pool.
The hotel is in Downtown Montreal and within walking distance to Montreal's Eaton Centre. There are many shops and restaurants nearby.

The hotel was great, they had all we needed, everyone was friendly, specially Benoit at the Front Desk who checked us in, that set the mood for our entire stay.
The location was also perfect, many restaurants and museums to go to during our stay, specially close to Via Rail station...

As a very frequent business traveller, its obvious that every penny has been pinched - the hot water is just lukewarm, the shower volume is choked off just a turn too much to save a nickel. In the restaurant, the side of bacon is paper thin and half the regular width (and oddly cooked in a deep frier). Everything is of the lowest quality like the greying towels that need to be replaced.
