The opulent Excelsior on the Borgo Marinaro waterfront opposite the Castel dellOvo, is splendid and its corner position means that the hotel has a double aspect onto both Vesuvius and the castle.
Special mention to Alexandro at the front desk which had gone about & beyond to accomodate our needs & arranged a fabulous birthday cake for my husband.
Sandro always greeted us with a smile at the reception area & handle...

The location of this hotel is wonderful and the room was quite large. Those are the two best things I can say about this hotel. When we arrived the elevators were not working so me and my family had to climb up 5 flights of stairs. The internet never worked the whole time we were there. The electronic shades went up but never came down. For the lights - the card was in the necessary slot -however, the light...

Legendary charming hotel in prime location in Napoli. I have stayed here five times and it only gets better. The staff is incredibly helpful. Grazie to Alessandro and Carmine at reception and also grazie to Alessandro the charming bartender upstairs at the most magnificent bar with stunning views! I will be back!!...

Amazing historical hotel. Lovely rooms with memorable and stunning views of Visuvius and bay of Naples. Delicious breakfast in the setting you will remember forever.
Special thanks to reception staff and Vincenzo and everybody else in the restaurant for making every meal a beautiful event....
