Not only is this hotel the absolute cutest in a part of town that feels good, but the staff are amazing. I had regular encounters with Nelson and he made a non-New Yorker feel welcomed. No matter what the request, Nelson was there to share stories, tips and laughs. This is a really special place with really special people - I highly recommend!...

Well located, reliable hotel - with great service.
In particular, Freddy on front desk / reception was a stand-out. Great attitude, problem solving, and a true professional. And generally there is great hospitality / service at this property....

Health Hazard [MOLD]

The hotel is rife with mold. Its growing out of the bathroom tiles and the carpets in the corners of the rooms. In the first room I thought it was merely a cleaning oversight, an absentminded housekeeper forgot to scrub the tiles for a few weeks. I changed to a different room, woke up with breathing problems and swollen eyes, and began examining the corners of the dimly lit room. Sure enough, there was visible mold ...

We had such a lovely stay at the Ace Hotel. The atmosphere is amazing relaxed, creative, and effortlessly cool. Its the kind of place that has character without even trying.
Freddie truly made the experience special. He was so accommodating, attentive, and genuinely kind. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and that makes all the difference.
