Dark, grubby and depressing

Dark, old and dingy rooms which smelled. Carpets were worn and dirty. Carpets, blinds and walls were black with 2 out of 4 lights broken making the stay utterly depressing. Even the lobby is dark....

The property is definitely great..clean, hip, cool - but there are a lot of great properties in NYC. The reason I will stay here again (and again, and again) is the customer experience. We were originally given a second-floor room with a view, but it ended up being a bit louder than we prefer. The next morning, we spoke with the front desk, and without hesitation or explanation needed, they graciously moved us to an interior room on the 11th floor.
