I would not recommend hotel as uses a homeless shelter. No security between floors. Whilst in the lobby I witnessed an aggressive argument between a male and female which landed in the police being called. I did not feel safe during my staff especially when in the elevator alone. At time of booking there is no mention that hotel is used as shelter which is wrong...

Avoid at least until the construction is done. The slightest wind has unsecured ropes and platforms banging into the walls all night making sleep difficult at best. Combine that with the locations inaccurate address- its not actually on Delancey - and youre sure to want to stay anywhere else.

I originally booked my stay at the Holiday Inn due to the low price of the room per night and the proximity to our desired location. It was close to our family, many local restaurants, and easy access to the subways.

A couple of other reviews mention the shelter situation and its real. It feels hyperbolic and pearl-clutching when you read it, but its real and has an impact on the hotel.

Hotel being used as shelter with no upfront mention - crackheads and drug deals linger on the corner all day.

This hotel is used as a shelter, that is NOT mentioned ANYWHERE on the booking process. Furthermore - drug dealers on the corner and literally on the entire stretch of the hotels side. Not momentarily - ALL DAY, with crackheads passing by constantly to purchase drugs and get high, and knock out right on the street. This is happening is the middle of the day - good luck at night.
