Stayed here for a few nights over thanksgiving weekend. Wish I hadn't!
Let's start with the positives. Good central location with a reasonable room rate. Rooms were clean and spacious with modern fixtures and fittings. All staff that I encountered were excellent. Reception staff were really good in terms of speed of service and friendliness. Breakfast was ok with a fairly good choice of foods.

Perfect location in NYC with amazing views.

We stayed at this hotel for a week over marathon weekend. It was the perfect location, so easy to access from JFK, brilliantly located for several subway lines, and less than a 5 minute walk to Central Park .
When we had some issues with our original room, the reception staff were quick to help, and enabled us to move to another room with minimal fuss.

I am sorry to say the place needs updating. I have stayed here multiple times over the years and have always enjoyed it, but the rooms are starting to get frayed looking. Our sunscreen curtains were literally in shreds, the carpet was threadbare in spots, and the shower leaked. After one night, I asked for a different room, and this one was better- the bathroom had been updated. We also had some long waits for the el...

Excellent location. The room had a completed equipped kitchenette. The staff was very agreeable. I liked spinning the wheel for a prize. In the afternoon they prepare treats for the guests ICECREAM, cookies what a delight! It makes you feel appreciated!
The only recommendation for change would be to lighten and brighten up the hallways as the walls and carpet are dark and dimly lit. Breakfast was good.

The view from the hotel room on 60+ floors - is mindblowing, and the room/windows are designed just right, to enhance the experience.
But, as many people wrote here already - they're not particularly strict with keeping reserved room types for you. As with the previous reviewers here - they quietly downgraded our room type, without notifying me. I was lucky enough to notice it, called them, and demanded to fix it ba...
