My wife and I stayed in this hotel for 6 nights in February. We found the location to be excellent, the room to be very spacious with a good sitting area and small kitchen and the breakfast was reasonably good. As other reviewers mention, the rooms are a little dated, but they were perfectly fine. We very much enjoyed our stay and would go back.

The hotel has larger rooms than typical for midtown hotels, but the biggest surprise was the craic for the hotel bar. I have been traveling to NYC for many years and after hitting a few of my usual haunts with too many people centered on their phones, I ended up having some great talks with travelers in the hotel bar. This hotel needs a refresh. Our room looks similar to the photo - with years of wear. The carpets was torn and worn the vanity was very small and beat up. The queen sofa bed was horrible, as one was able to feel every spring in the thin mattress ( and I can sleep anywhere). If you need to use the sofa bed - there is NO space to walk or put a suitcase. I actually was in NYC a few weeks earlier and stayed at This hotel and would give it 5 stars.This time there were a few incidents.First when we open the sofa bed their was fifty with food and bugs.They change our room with no problem. (Actually wont hold that against them, good help is hard to find)My boots were stolen I dont know how it happened, but I came with boots, but didnt leave them

Staff was excellent, and it's good location if you want to be in TS, Theater area. We found the condition of the 2 rooms to be about what the other reviewers reported. It's old and tired and needs updating. It is not up to Marriott standards. Lifted flooring in the kitchen, peeling paint in the bathroom, cabinets falling apart.
