This hotel is a bit older than some of the other Marriott properties in midtown but the location is great. As a lifetime Marriott titanium I have stayed at properties ranging from the Courtyard to the St Regis in midtown over the years.

Not good.

Not good. My husband used to stay at this hotel for business regularly. It has gone way downhill. We had to get three different rooms, up and down and up and down, and they still didnt get it right. Just wanted a room with working heat and away from an elevator. Dirty, tired, front desk staff is rude and doesnt know the layout of their hotel. Other staff is helpful....

Frustrating experience

The stay itself was fine. Room was a good size but bathroom was very small. I was supposed to get a receipt that I need to submit for work. It was never sent. I emailed the accounting department 3 times over one week and the general email once - no response from the hotel. Tried calling the hotel but doesnt seem to be any way to talk to someone at the hotel. Extremely frustrating experience....

Do not let the autograph title and high prices fool you. The hotel is filthy, with caving in bathroom ceilings, mold and barely cleaned rooms. Tiny rooms are to be expected in NYC, but not unhygienic lack of care. Staff is uncaring, bordering on rude (not that it should matter, but platinum Marriott status did nothing to mitigate a terrible check in experience). Had tickets to a few plays during our most recent trip to New York, and this hotel is in a great location for that without being *too* close to Time Square. Butimagine spending approximately $1300 for 4 days at a hotel and not having hot (or even warm) water in the bathroom (the knob stops turning just before you would get water tolerable to shower in), a shower drain that takes twenty minutes to drain (so while you...
