The staff is rude - beware of double booking and late check ins

I would not stay here! Our room was booked to day guests. When we went up to the front desk at 1 o'clock to pay the $60 to check in early we were told to come back at 2 o'clock because the room wasn't ready. We went upstairs to eat and came back at 2 o'clock to be told we were never told to come back at 2 o'clock and should be coming back at 3 o'clock. Decent location, rooms are small and tired and you can hear LITERALLY everything from each room either side very clearly so not ideal....

Stayed here for 4 nights with my daughter. Great location for Times Square, easy to navigate from here as a base. Room was small but had everything we needed. Very clean. Would definitely stay here again...

Where do I begin with this. Firstly I dont think Ive ever written a review as poor as this one. My partner and I had decided to stay here for the week of our engagement. Mistake. Shouldve stuck to what we knew - the Fitzpatrick hotel. Only they were fully booked. Really perplexed by some of the reviews on this, we did some research beforehand and realised it was essentially a US version of the premier inn, exactly what we were after. Basic, comfortable, cheaper than a chain hotel to use as a base
