Cozy, well-functioning, friendly hotel in the middle of Nice.
I stayed 10 days with friends and also by myself in the Hotel les Cigales. Hotel is located near the sea, near promenade, city centre and surrounded by nice restaurants, cafes, bakeries, cultural activities and in the middle of pleasant quiet neighbourhood. The staff were friendly and helpful, but the room on the top floor was not the best. The ceiling slopes and is quite shallow above one half of the bed. I was careful enough for most days but on the last morning I whacked my head and it knocked me back onto the bed. If you're staying here, try to avoid a room on the top floor.

Our room had unfortunately, no real window, just a porthole way up, so no view and could not really open, Completely different than on the pictures. Air con too loud, so very hot. Very unpleasant talk with manager unwilling to find an acceptable solution. Worst stay in France out of two nice weeks. And for this very expensive...

This hotel is in a fantastic location and is the best thing about it.
We had asked for a quiet room on a high floor with a nice view.
The room that we were given was on a high floor with noisy neighbours and a window that was too high up to see out of. The room was dark with not much headspace above the bed. There was a sofa bed in the room also which would obviously be good if you needed 3 people to stay in the ro...
