We (family of 5 adults) stayed here in April over the Easter Weekend. We found it a really nice hotel. Very central, very clean, staff were accommodating and polite and willing to assist. We had 3 rooms and each was a different size. We all had a balcony (ours was the best with a sea view!) and a mini fridge with drinks replenished free of charge very day. Quick checkin. Upgraded to a deluxe room with jacuzzi bath and separate shower. Comfortable bed. Air con worked for 2 days then not working. All air con switched off because reception said it was still end of winter (it was a warm April). Very stuffy. Provided a fan.

Excellent hotel. Dont believe any negative reviews. Roof top bar and pool are splendid. Staff are very friendly. Conveniently located for shops, old town and sea front.
Minor gripe with the air conditioning which apparently does not com on until May (we are here in April and the room is very warm)
Breakfast is very good and the views from the restaurant are amazing.
Would definitely stay here again....

Do not stay here
My passport was stolen in Room 120 from my bag inside the room
It was an inside job
I reported it to them nothing was done in effect
And to the police And Australian embassy
I had the travel to Paris to get an emergency passport
My holiday was ruined at great cost
The day before my wallet was stolen on a train in Nice as well...

The Splendid is a pleasant hotel with great staff. Located just off the seafront and a short walk from the old town makes it a perfect location for exploring Nice and surrounding areas. The rooms are spacious with good facilities.
