A bit of a mixed experience and quite difficult to evaluate. The location is great, next to Maqueda and places to eat. The car parking recommended by the hotel was close and reasonably priced. The hotel and rooms are clean, although cleaning was every two days. The place is not bad for those with mobility issues because you have to climb stairs to get to the rooms. Myself and my husband have had a wonderful week staying at the Hotel Columbia. Our room was clean and very comfortable with excellent aircon which was very necessary this week. The hotel is wonderfully situated in a quiet street off the Via Maqueda so in the very heart of the old city. The breakfast was great - more than enough and certainly for a two star hotel. Hotel Columbia is a budget-price hotel which punches well above its weight. Room was better than fine, exactly as described and pretty impressive for the price. The location is a good advantage, most of attractions are easily reachable on foot,
as it's just right off via Maqueda. The bed room is clean, not noisy at night, the bathroom is a bit tacky but can't complain much considering the tariff. Breakfast is normal Italian standard. The reception is kind and helpful too....

No elevator but they gave me 1st floor room

There is no elevator but the friendly receptionist change my room to 1st floor room since I have difficulty to climb stairs. Room is basic but good size. Breakfast is good and plenty. Location is very central but quiet. They are refurbishing the adjacent building to a higher star hotel with elevator....
