Although the property itself is beautiful and historic, there were serious issues which were simply not acceptable for a supposedly five star property. On arrival the thyme receptionist had ladders in her tights. The receptionists who checked us I. Spent 6 nights at this hotel in March. Although the location is good the Hotel it self is horrible. It claims it is a 5 star hotel but it is 3.5 at best. Rooms are so small 2 people can not fit in it. 2 People can not even hang up all their clothes because there is no closet space Shower drain backed up with so much hair in the drain. I booked this hotel for my partner's birthday and as it was his first time in Paris I wanted it to be special.
The location of the hotel is exceptional, close to all the attractions and on a quiet street (our room faced the road and it didn't impact the quality of our sleep).
I cannot fault the staff - Maëva was especially great and helped me find and book a wonderful restaurant for my partner's birthday meal.

Really great stay at the Alfred Sommier Hotel. The owner was very nice to introduce himself to us and explain some history of the beautiful rooms. The staff were also super helpful as we had our puppy and they helped to book us a vets appointment.
Great place to get fantastic photos and walking distance to many cute cafes and bistros!...
