In this hotels defense I had just come off a transatlantic cruise and had impeccable treatment. After the cruise, I had stayed in excellent hotels in Portugal, the UK, and Spain.
Im also writing this after a struggle to sleep in a room whose temperature I could not control.

NO AIRCON

There is NO Aircon. According to the response of the manager to other Google reviews, they disable aircon functionality due to environmental regulations in Paris. However out of all the 2, 3, and 4 star hotels Ive stayed in here, this is the first time Ive encountered such a ridiculous restriction (especially when they ADVERTISE as having aircon).

Family stay in Novotel

We had a very pleasant stay at the Novotel Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. It is located right beside the Porte de Vanves metro stop on the M13 line. It is 9 stops out from the Champs Elsyees stop which takes about 15-20 minutes. The metro trains are every couple of minutes so it is a convenient way to travel.

Located next to line 13 on the metro and a tram that takes you to stations for Versailles and the airport, this is a great location.
The family room was well equipped with comfortable beds and a dividing curtain. Although next to a major trainline and artiriel roads the double double glazing kept the noise out. Indeed the hotel was very quiet on a night.

Located a 10 minutes walk from Porte du Versailles expo centre so quite convenient if you are attending a conference there. The room was clean and spacious and the staff were very helpful. The gym is quite small but had the basics. The food offering at the hotel is not very good. There are a range of ready meals you can heat up yourself and nothing else.
