Great modern hotel in central area

Lovely modern hotel in a very nice area of Porto, further enough from busy tourist areas but close enough to walk to all main attractions with lots of bars and restaurants. There is a good local bar just outside which is always busy but don't be put off by it, we went and had a drink one night.

Everything was perfect except for the lack of heat. There wasnt any in the hotel and it was cold.

Everything was perfect except for the lack of heat. There wasnt any heat in the hotel and it was cold. The staff brought extra blankets but it was uncomfortable. We were also offered a discount but that doesnt help the fact that we were cold our entire stay. Otherwise a great hotel in a great location....

Came here for a long weekend
Lovely hotel, very clean, great location and all the staff are amazing, so friendly and definitely go above and beyond .
We would definitely come here again as we have loved our stay....

Chic & Basic Gravity Hotel anchored our trip to the many places we visited in Porto. It is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, walkable to everywhere we wanted to explore. Unfortunately we were there during torrential rain (everyday but the last day) and although this was disappointing, the saving grace was this awesome hotel, especially the efficient, professional, friendly, helpful staff. Just back from a few days in Porto staying in Hotel Chic and Basic Gravity.Wonderful stay,great bed and lovely staff.Very quirky but great atmosphere.Breakfast and food in restaurant lovely.All staff,bar and reception extremely helpful,nothing was too much bother .Even left birthday cake with candle in our room when they realised we were celebrating a birthday.Location good for all visitor sites,Eve if at top of a hi...
