I loved staying in this hotel. The room was modernised well but still comfortable - a standard size for a single room, but the space was well designed and pleasant. Practical bathroom, good aircon/heating and everything was kept very clean. The view from my window was a superb vista over the rooftops of the city centre, all the way to Clerigos Tower. The hotel's location is very good, close to restaurants, bars, etc. It is also in easy walking distance of attractions and shops. The rooms are spacious enough but quite plain but also very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure for a shower. One odd thing is a lack of lights. There are no ceiling or wall lights, only lamps. Overall it is well worth staying here...

We booked 3 rooms. One had an amazing view of the square, two rooms had windows over the kitchen which was ok as long as they didn't open the windows.
The staff was very friendly. Our friend had a medical emergency and although that couple didn't speak English or Portuguese they were able to assist and call an ambulance for him. We really appreciated that. The AC units were a bit tricky to work, the elevators are tin...

The room wasn't very big and the view out of the window was mostly non-existing, but the room was clean and the beds were comfortable with multiple pillows, which I really like. The layout of the bathroom could have been more practical, but the bathroom was clean and the shower was nice.

Room was clean and presented nicely. Cleaned every day to a good standard. Nice staff, somewhere to keep luggage. The location was amazing couldnt get much better virtually everything was within a 15-20 minute walk bar the other side of the river which was around 40 minutes but uber is cheap and cost about 5. Its nothing fancy but you dont expect/need it to be in a city....
