Our experience at the hotel was excellent. The staff worked tirelessly to make our stay comfortable and nothing was too much trouble. Our waiter Oliveira was particularly attentive....

The location of this hotel is fantastic, to the point where I dont think theres a single hotel in the whole of Porto in a better place - right in the heart of the Ribeira district overlooking the Douro and close walking to all the main areas.
Really friendly staff, lovely room and very quiet/private setting despite the central location.

Great little wine bar!

We didnt stay here, but we spent a lovely few hours in their wine bar. A rainy afternoon, sat drinking wine and eating cheese and charcuterie whilst watching the river activity. Bliss. Bit pricy, but it was my birthday, so what the heck....

Know that you cannot drive to this hotel and parking is far away and expensive. No validation. Roll those bags for a while.
If you get a first floor "river view" room, know that people will have full view of your room as they walk by, sometimes looking in, sometimes stopping. You won't be able to leave the curtains open. There is a large granite wall blocking the river regardless.

Ports is an amazing city but even more importantly is the people are warm and friendly. This hotel is fantastic! Staff weee welcoming and so helpful. From Hugo and the welcome drinks to the bar and restaurant teams. We will be back!...
