Beautiful Hotel

Stayed here two nights before an AMA cruise. Great location, right on the Douro river. Room was very spacious and clean, we booked a Superior Room. We were located in the back building, (two elevators to get to room, but not a problem). Breakfast buffet was more than we had expected. Front desk was very accommodating our group of ten. Would highly recommend a stay here....

Freaking birds stole my bread!!! just kidding I held some out to see if a bird would take it mid-air and one did! Jokes aside, Gonçalo was fantastic with his recommendations and just being genuine and kind. Very good wines and ports with prices are very reasonable for the tourist zone. we tried the buttery cheese and matured beef ham and would eat both again they were so fresh!
