Underwhelming
Travelled on 11/2025
My husband and I visited in November. It was a surprise honeymoon visit.
The hotel itself is stunning/quirky to look at with an interesting reception area, so we were very excited to see our room. I can only speak for our room, hopefully others were better.
Sadly we were put in room 314. It was very small, dark, and underwhelming. As my husband is 6 feet 8 and I am 5 feet 11, we are both noticeably very tall!! W...

This is not a 5 star property
Travelled on 11/2025
Very disappointed with the Alchymist Grand Hotel and Spa, which is designated as a five star property. The mattress is very firm and the pillows are horrible. We asked reception if they could provide down or feather pillows and they advised that the only pillows that are available are on the bed. A gold star - throughout!
Travelled on 11/2025

We chose to stay in a family suite (2 en suite bathrooms) - we were 4 female frie...

worst 5 star hotel ever including rude and clueless staff
Travelled on 10/2025
We stayed for 4 nights in the hotel and unfortunately I must admit, this is the worst 5 star hotel I have ever stayed in (and reading other reviews, I am surely not the only person to think that!). It started off with reception not knowing that we had booked a tasting menu in advance although we had already paid for it. We requested to have the dinner on our final night, giving reception 4 (!!) days to figure out our...

Very Nice Hotel with Old World Charm
Travelled on 08/2025
We had a wonderful time at the Alchymist. The hotel is full of old world charm with spacious rooms and very friendly staff. The breakfast buffet had an abundance of choice and they served wine and cheese every day at 4:30 in the lounge area. The hotel is located in the Lessor Town just a few minutes from Prague Castle. This is quieter than the Old Town but still only a 10 minute walk from the Charles Bridge. We highl...
