Riga 2026-Underated City, Amazing Hotel and Location

Just got back from Riga and found the whole experience really good. Hotel location wise is ideal. Most attractions are within ten minutes walking distance from hotel to the Old Town. Having said that once you get your bearing, it's an easy city to navigate in terms of walking and even using public transport. Excellent location, mixed experience with the room

We have visited Monika every year and have always brought along new guests with us. The location and architecture are excellent. However, there was noticeable dust in the rooms. We were also surprised that although we traveled from Estonia as a group of six (booking three rooms), our room which was the most expensive turned out to be the smallest and the least comfortable....

A nostalgic hotel, in a good location, but most importantly - the staff. And to hear from the administrator that you are not a SSR here is really unpleasant. The language in which a person speaks probably does not say anything about the person...We had booked for 2 adults and 2 children, but we only found a double bed. We had a great time. It's centrally located, everything is within walkable distance and there's also a park nearby. The area is very safe, you can see expensive cars and embassies around.
The staff is very helpful and polite, and the communication before our arrival was excellent. The rooms are decent but can be improved and renovated. Breakfast was really good.
All in all it was worth the money....
