Great location, rooms where not big,,so a challenge with luggage,, old world charm.. bathroom was perfect.. lobby is small and offers a small gathering area,,, breakfast was excellent...

Bad experience at gambrinus hotel

We visited Rome on September 2025 with friends and our agent booked this hotel for us and I wanna say that everything was terrible. The service was bad. The food was bad. The room was dirty , the staff were so rude and mean and not helpful too. I dont recommend this hotel to no one and exotica they should know that when they book their hotels . No one from our group was happy with the hotel....

We had a 2 night stay here after a recent cruise. We were in room 114. Room wasnt a bad size. Traditional decor. Bed was fairly hard. Shower room had decent shower. There was a coffee machine as well as a kettle. Tv safe hanging rail as opposed to wardrobe. Aircon worked ok. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok not great. Lovely city hotel. All the reception team are brilliant, fluent English and understood my stab at Italian! My room was fairly small (but expected as a city hotel) but comfy, decent shower and a lovely bed. More than happy. Hotel Gambrinus is very well located, with a bus stop outside the door for buses going to and from the train station. Its about 20 minutes easy walk to the Spanish Steps or The gardens at Villa Borghesse. Overall the decor is a bit tired but very clean and the room a good size.
