AVOID this hotel - they do not honour your booking

We booked this hotel for 6 of us about 10 months ago as a package with Easyjet holidays. When we turned up at the hotel we were told that they were overbooked and therefore we could not stop there. We were escorted to another hotel (Archimedes) about 2 blocks away - which was awful.
It appears that the Hotel San Marco has quite a reputation of doing this to its guests who think that they have a room with them judgin...

Dire experience!
Pros:
the location as it is very close to the main train station station.
My husband said the breakfast was good.
The water pressure for the shower was good.

Do NOT stay here - you can do better for the price elsewhere!
I stayed at the place in late September - early October. I had a single room that was about the size of a small college or university dormitory. I had to step over my luggage to get to and from the bed. The bed itself had a very think mattress and the sub layer felt like a sheet of warped plywood. Very friendly people with check in. Elevator was very small and we waited as long as 30 minutes sometimes (4 nights). TV had so many channels, including FNN, CNN, Bloomberg.
