Great Hotel

Arrival was smooth. Room was ready. Staff was excellent and friendly. Room was immaculate. Housekeeping made sure the room was cleaned the minute we left. Great location and terrific experience. Breakfast in the morning was a highlight. Lots of selection with staff that literally remembered your coffee order day after day! Would highly recommend and return....

Fantastic food & restaurant

Restaurant and food fantastic, great staff especially the waiter Mr Wow.
We had upgrade to balcony, not realy worth it as balcony is shared and you can't sit a chair on them as to narrow.
Standard Europe plugs do not fit the sockets the socket holes are smaller, if you have the thinner pin plug from 1980's they fit.
Shop 100m to the left of the hotel sell adaptor for 1.90 hotel sells them for 5....

My husband, mother, and I stayed here in February 2026. I chose it as it's a part of "The Edit" by Chase. Booking through Chase meant we were eligible for an upgrade, which we did receive. My mother and we had adjoining rooms on the 2nd floor at the front of the building. The feature of sharing a door was very convenient! I was grateful for this perk. The hotel definitely deserves its high ranking and is well located in the city. We had a beautiful suite with bedroom, large bath, and sitting room that were above expectations! The staff was excellent and very helpful with directions, arranging transpotation, etc. with a smile and great attitude.

Quiet location in the midst of bustling Rome

We loved our time in Rome and the Splendide Royal. The front desk staff were all very friendly and helpful. Our room and bath were huge and beautifully appointed with incredibly comfy beds. (We wish they marketed the bedding!) Weather permitting - do not miss drinks on the rooftop. Sunset was spectacular.! You must make a reservation....
