Lovely friendly hotel.
We are just home now from our trip to Rome. Four nights at the Hotel Verona was an ideal centre for all we wanted to do and see. A perfect location for walking to various sites and an easy hub to use transport from Termini and Cavour metro. Please stay away from this hotel. Stayed there for 3 nights from Apr 24, 2025 to Apr 27, 2025. Worst hotel I've ever stayed . Paid close to US $700 for 3 nights and it's totally not worth it.
Issues--
1. Weak toilet flush due to low water flow.
2. Poor quality mattress, bed sheets, pillow ..
3. Old & small size room.
4. No internet connection for TV. (no YouTube etc.)

This hotel was a great location, the restaurant next door had the best lasagna ever.
Staff at the hotel were friendly and welcoming.
We had a recommendation from the gentleman on the front desk for food and for the best gelato/ ice cream for our little boy.
It was the best restaurant we had ate in.

Second stay at hotel Verona and I love it. Great location, clean tidy rooms, good breakfast for 10 euro. Attentive staff and great for children. Visited in August also and a/c works well. Will always be my go to hotel in Rome. Cant recommend it enough...

Don't bother with Hotel Verona

I used Trip Advisor to select a simple single room hotel in Rome. In the search filters, I specifically selected Free Wifi, Breakfast Included and 4 stars or more. Hotel Verona came up as an obvious good choice and I selected it. I was re-directed to Bookings.com for reservations and I reserved the hotel, assuming the choices in the filter would be applied.
