We spent 4 nights at the hotel. Good communication before arrival as the hotel replied to my email and gave me options of how to travel from airport to the hotel. We chose shuttle bus from outside the airport then walked the last 15 mins to the hotel.

A perfect location, central to all the fabulous attractions and restaurants all in walking distance, or an uber/bus ride to Vatican city. Very friendly helpful staff. Rooms were spotless great air con and the most comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again....

As a family of four, we enjoyed our stay at Hotel Virgilio. We were able to secure one of the family apartments situated next door to the hotel. It was a bit strange not being attached to the actual hotel but we had lots of room for 2 adults and 2 teens. Even being beside the hotel, regular hotel services were available and the room was clean and well appointed.

We had such a great experience at hotel Virgilio! The location is absolutely perfect, just a 10 minute walk from both the train station and the Colosseum, and also close to the city center. It was so easy to get everywhere on foot. There were many stores, bus stations and restaurants just around the corner, but the street where the hotel is located is very quiet and not chaotic!

I would stay again and I would recommend it.
Our room (#22) was very clean, large, quiet (overlooking the courtyard), and cool (great AC) and the bed was very comfortable. However, you could hear everything from the hallway - we lucked out and had respectful neighbours.
Front desk was helpful - we were able to get into our room a bit before check-in.
