I recently stayed at Hotel Castellani in Salzburg with my family, including two young children (ages 2 and 5). While the price paid was definitely that of a 4-star superior hotel (677 for two nights), the service and management response were deeply disappointing and, at times, unprofessional.

We stayed for 3 nights in May we booked 2 rooms one for my husband and me and the other for our adult son. Check in was easy lobby was nicely decorated . Both rooms were clean beds comfortable and also the pillows. Rooms were good size compare to other hotels in Europe. A great hotel with great amenities, not too far from the main town area.
Easily accessible via public transport, we could walk to the bus stop in 3-4 mins.
It's quiet and peaceful, with clean and large rooms.
They have a nice breakfast selection with great service!

Two adults spent two nights here in early May and found it certainly acceptable with some unique quirks/annoyances like all hotels. The room was large but the bath area was small with little counter space. The day we checked in, it was cold outside, in the 50s. Turned out that heat is turned off in May so the room remained cold.
