Took one month to get my deposit back.

When we arrived to Hotel Spero I was told I would need to pay a $300 deposit which would be returned within 48hrs after checkout. After many emails to the hotel and raising a complaint, it was finally returned one month after checkout. Unacceptable....

Hotel Should Be Removed from IHG Family

Very problematic and disappointing. If you are an IHG member, stay away from this property. For starters, the building is surrounded by persons camped out on the streets, apparently out of their minds on controlled substances or mental illness (or both), and very aggressive and foul-mouthed. The door is *not* aways manned, contrary to some previous reviews; there is no key card required for entry; and there is no key...

The woman at the check-in desk was absolutely delightful. She also surprised me with a complimentary elite upgrade to a beautiful suite, which I truly appreciated. The bath products were fantastic, although the shampoo and other items were poorly packaged and difficult to use. I was pleased to receive a late check-out at 2 PM without any issues. I would certainly consider staying here again....

The beds we so comfy. The best pillows and the breakfast at the Jasper's delicious. The location is great, you can walk to many downtown destinations. Loved the hotel decoration and the morning coffee spot. Great place to stay if you visit San Francisco....

Very central Staff very friendly and helpful
Clean spacious room Very comfortable bed
Only 5 minutes walk from Lincoln Square
Dont stay on the top floor however as the lift plant is very noisy
We had to change rooms but it wasnt an issue to Kathryn on reception A lovely lady and an asset to the hotel
Free morning coffee was very tasty!
