Avoid this is a dump. Nice location. This is not even a two star hotel. No service. Nothing in the room. My sink didnt even work....

I think its a little tired decor wise since we last stayed in 2022 , but its still a landmark hotel and as we were bringing the kids and grandchildren for Christmas, it was a perfect , family friendly spot ,
The rooms are well sized with all amenities, you have the Top Of the Mark lounge at the rooftop , and its about $10 down to Fishermans wharf in a cab ,. ( we even walked it one day .. the downhill bit ! ...

Needs accessibility improvements

We had a very nice room facing north, towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Great view. We have stayed here several times. The hotel Is in need of repairs. The bathrooms are dated and uncomfortable. The bathroom lack safety basics like grab bars.

I was really looking forward to staying here as looked amazing on line. Check in was great, really friendly guy helped us but when we arrived at our room there was no water or tea and coffee facilities! Not great when you have been travelling. Bathroom ok. Room was clean and view was great. Ok stay but very expensive for what you get....

We recently stayed at the Mark Hopkins for a staycation to celebrate New Years. We rarely write reviews but were compelled to do so after our very disappointing stay. Pros: easy and pleasant check in, comfortable bed, great location and nice view. Cons: outdated and damaged furniture, all luxury amenities have been removed from the room (robes, slipper, wine glasses, coffee maker, etc). Dirty glasses and sticky ...
