A memorable stay in San Sebastian

We absolutely loved this hotel. The location is unique in San Sebastian, on the top of hill in a converted convent. While the location provides incredible views of the city and the water front, it has a convenient elevator that brings you to street level which is several stories down from the ground level of the hotel on the steep cliff. Our first time in San Sebastian, and what a beautiful city it is, but to add to our great stay was staying at the Catalonia Donosti..from the time we checked in to the time we checked out.. The staff were of the highest standard.. Our room was spacious, the bed was divine.. The breakfast buffet was excellent and so were the staff there.. Could not fault this hotel at all......

Enjoyed the views from our room, the helpful staff and the top notch spa. The restaurant was a bit soulless though and the floor in our room was springy....

Great location especially with the secret lift. We had a suite so had two separate areas which was great when traveling with a teenager. Staff made it perfect very personably and knowledgeable. Highly recommend....

5 star service at 4 star prices

All staff in every area couldnt do enough to help. We have one observation in the dining room in the evening, there are two many lights left on and so it lacks intimacy and ambiance, however the food and staff are excellent. Why hasnt this been addressed before as its been mentioned in reviews previously.
