From arriving at the Ca Gottardi and Diego rushing down the stairs to carry our luggage up to reception to sorting out on of the staff to carry them back down the stairs after our stay, nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. Pablo sorting out our safe , Diego helping out with information about local attractions, the room being kept spotless and bed made up perfectly every day! Breakfast was plentiful, contin...

I'll start by saying that i've left the rating at 3 stars because the staff were all very nice (apart from a blond teenager at reception who looks miserable and/or bored).
We'd booked this hotel for my 40th birthday as recommended by a French friend of my parents (initials G.B) who organises tours here and stays regularly. We wrote this in an email prior to our visit and never got an answer...

This hotel was just perfect.
Greeted very warmly by all members of staff everytime we encountered anyone. The location is great. Close to a lot of things but also fairly quiet. Right next to the canal and we had amazing views of the canal from our room.

We visited Venice with friends, to celebrate my 60th birthday :)
Our group of 6 stayed at Ca' Gattardi for four nights ... the location of the hotel is great, just a 15 min walk from the station, and short walks to St Marks Square, Water Front, Realto Bridge etc..
The staff at reception were friendly and helpful when we arrived, orientating us, and suggesting restaurants and places of interest.

My adult daughter and I stayed here for 4 luscious nights. Our room was large, lush, with an amazing 180 view from the 3rd floor of Venetian life. Fabio and Diego bent over backwards to help us in every single way (and we needed help with the airline losing one of our bags and our flight out of Venice departing at 6;00 a.m.).
