Gem for anyone who wants to avoid the typical Venetian struggle of dragging heavy luggage over endless bridges. Just a 5-minute walk from both the Train Station, the location was perfect. Its tucked away in a quiet little side street, so you get a great night's sleep, but you can still walk to the main sights or catch a water bus easily. Small but authentic

From the airport bus drop-off point we walked over two small bridges then a short way to find Hotel Carlton Capri. Reception let us check in early which was appreciated. Room 208, superior double. Id hate to see the grade below this one its only 17msq, not charming but has a window with a view that lets you feel like youre in Italy. Not really Very Chic material but thats who we booked it through.

Grubby and requires updating

We stayed here for 3 nights
Unfortunately on our first night we could hear constantly running water behind the wall which was very disturbing
On reporting this issue to reception the following morning the person on reception moved us to a different room
I would like to say the bathroom was terribly grubby the tiles and grout were filthy
One other observation was the food at breakfast was always flat cold!

I am currently staying in this hotel, 9 October 2025, room 404!This place is so bad! The staff needs to be trained and taught manners! The air conditioning does not work and told they have dewinterised the system. It is so unbearably hot in this room, you cannot sleep. They dont have fans to offer you and just shrug there shoulders!! Sorry he says....and walks off!! This place dont deserve to be given any business fr...
