Having read the other reviews our experience was definitely not the same. We had a room on the second floor, bathroom was dated, shower over the bath was difficult to use, fan was loud, toilet seat did not fit properly and hairdryer was the worst and slowest I have ever used. Room was dark and windows would not open fully and had shutters on the outside. Unable to control the air conditioning and on the first nigh...

We try to visit Venice annually as its one of our favourite cities in the world. This was our 4th visit and every time we book the Duodo Palace to stay at.
The location is perfect, close enough to st marks square (6-10 min walk) but tucked away in a peaceful location. 15-20 mins from Rialto bridge.
The staff are so polite, helpful and provide great customer service. Nothing is too much trouble.

Venice hotels are kinda unique. This one's clean, the staff are super nice, and it's in a pretty good spot near St. Mark's Square (five minutes away). Plus, tons of great restaurants are right around the corner.
But, my room was stuffy and dark, no sunlight at all. The AC is a pain, they control it from the front desk, and no free water. The bathroom fan is crazy loud too, it's always on....

Avoid room 607 especially if you are scared of paranormal activity (ghost)!! The room is excessively hot, full of mosquitoes, lack a shower, has a rancid scent at the entrance and night staff is not happy about working. Lovely hotel, very old building but restored. Staff are lovely, friendly, helpful and very informative if you have any questions. We booked 2 rooms, 601 and 604. Rooms are warm and our rooms had no view as we were at the bottom. Beds are comfy. We booked room only so we didnt have breakfast as it was 20 euros each and for us wasnt worth that as its very basic. Lovely location close to everything. We really enjoyed...
