Stayed here one night travellng from Rome to Vienna ( great trip, nothng beats the train ) Didnt really know what to expect but this wasnt it. Honestly it was just WOW . A lot of money has been spent here and it really shows, it very cosy and very pretty. I was in room 45 on the ground floor overlooking a little outside area, it was so nice. Nice hotel in Venice, near the main train station. Comfortable bed and good bathroom and very clean. Breakfast is provided and has many choices. As with many hotels in Venice there is no lift, but our luggage was carried up to the first floor by staff. There were lots of shops and restaurants near by. The price was good. Staff were very friendly and helpful...

This was my 3rd stay in Venezia but Hotel Villa Rosa is the best.
Breakfast was tasty and has many choices, 5 min walk to Santa Lucia, Located on Cannaregio, shops, markets, restaurants are all near by. Rooms are cleaned, renovated, has a big bathroom, coffee machine, blanket even they put fly spray in the room. Hotel reception was helpful and has a great altitude. Hotel is suitable for families, couples or friends....

Tucked away in a narrow calle, Hotel Villa Rosa is close to the train station and just off a street lined with shops and restaurants. Our stay here was pleasant and the front desk people went above and beyond to keep medicine I required in their refrigerator for whenever I needed it. Lovely breakfast spread - no need to go hungry. Given the expense of staying in Venice - a reasonable choice.

Now, Venice exists for tourists (at least that is what it feels like) so you aren't going to find that charming canal-side place to stay with a spacious room for a peanuts price. The price is going to be high, to keep it reasonable it's going to be a little way from the 'highlights' of St Marks Square.
